No evidence whatsoever has been forthcoming to the U.S. citizenry to back up the accusations against Assad. Bombing a country without any evidence of who did what is an ill-advised crime. The attacks come a day before the arrival of the international teams of the OPCW and their investigation of the alleged chemical weapon use. Russia affirmed and Obama accepted the elimination of the Syrian government's chemical weapons; elimination was overseen by international observers. The Obama era funding and arming of "rebel" elements (becoming ISIS) in Syria allowed their overrunning of a major chemical weapons facility. Only the Obama supported ISIS elements in Syria would benefit from a chemical weapons use blamed on Assad. OPCW arriving to investigate the alleged use should be encouraged to also investigate the claimed "CW storage facility" attacked by the U.S. on Friday. We need to know if there were indeed ANY chemical weapons in that "storage" facility.

The false narratives generated by some U.S. officials concerning their success against ISIS is irrelevant to Syria. The actual progress against ISIS in Syria was accomplished ONLY after Russia was invited by Syria to help in their defeat. In three months, Russia accomplished a complete setback for ISIS in Syria. It was never any U.S. action accomplishing that. Obama armed and funded the monsters. Lies about small things make for doubts about large claims. U.S. presence in Syria to any degree is illegal. The neo-Con and Leftist constant verbal assaults against Russia for a year and a half have led to a controlling narrative now pandering not only false propaganda, but very dangerous and illegal actions... some possibly false flags by the real and monstrous ISIS threat.

Various studies report the approval rate of the congress is as low as 8%. President Trump's approval rating is about 50%. His yielding to the war mongering establishment Republicans (AKA the McCain faction) and the violent Democrats by involving the nation in yet another unending unwinnable middle east war for our Jewish friends won't increase the approval rating of congress among the American people, but it might lower his.

Syria and Russua, Assad and Putin has the same credible internationally that you do.

Russia should have never received the courtesy of a forewarning notification. It's because of that the damage that should have been done, was not. Russia's a deadly infection that needs exterminating.

Aren't the Syria airstrikes already done? Now that it's already happened it's probably a good idea to support it.

That's great US lawmakers. Good for you!

I thought they were pulled out.

President Trump must have a good reason for keeping them there.

If Kaine said that, he may be right. I doubt the American people elected President Trump *(the White Christian president)* for the purpose of embroiling the nation in yet another endless unwinnable middle east war for our Jewish friends. The president is right, though when he expresses his fear that, if our Jewish friends lose Palestine, long suffering Christendom will get the Jews back.

You may be right. It has been revealed that the attack on the air base at Palmyra was made by Jewish air force planes. Is it beyond the realm of possibility that they are also responsible for the gassing of the Syrian people? After all, when our Jewish friends tried to sink the USS Liberty, they would have had us believe they did not know it was an American vessel.

A brief History 101 would inform you that Russia has been the enemy for some time, and a brief study of Vladimir Putin would inform you that his real goal in life besides “presidential for life” is to see the United States fall/fail utterly and completely.

To think otherwise takes a truly massive amount of willful ignorance.

Pelosi and Schumer did do a few quick polls before they reluctantly agreed to sort of support the decision to stop Assad from using chemical weapons on children. They would have preferred drawing a pink line in the sand, like we did for 8 years prior to Trump.

Actually, I think it was mostly English pilots. America goes with missiles from a distance. Perhaps the English wanted to get some use out of their Tornadoes before retiring them.

More likely, Trump and Putin are trying to keep their puppet states in place, but to get Assad out.

President Obama didn’t think Russia was an enemy. Don’t you remember in the debates that Romney referred to Russia as a danger, and Obama laughed at him, and said he wanted to bring back the Cold War.
It was Obamas fake red line that has emboldened Syria and Russia to gas women and children.
They think American is weak, and we were a country without leadership, under Obama.

Now that Trump crushed the terrorists over seas, how many attacks have we had in this country?

Strength weakens terrorists. These air strikes will weaken another terrorist nation.

Apparently you never took history 101!
