Ronnie Spector and the Ronettes will be on the New Haven Green July 21.
Ronnie Spector and the Ronettes kicks off the two-concert Music on the Green summer series in New Haven Saturday, July 21, followed by Taylor Dayne on Saturday, July 28. Spector, who sang such iconic hits as "Be My Baby," "Walking in the Rain" and "Baby, I Love You," spoke by phone in an interview that has been condensed for space. Q: After iconic hits, you had to deal with being typecast as a singer of "oldies" while you built a solo career; how did you endure as an artist who is still getting it done in 2018? A: First of all, I love what I do.
