Please! Enough with the city council trying to erase Dallas’ history. It’s absurd and ashamed they moved the Robert E. Lee statue from Lee park. That statue was dedicated in person by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1936.

PLEASE STOP REMOVING THESES HISTORIC MEMORIALS!

Sorry,
But the losers do not get to write history.
The winners do.
Robert E. Lee lost.
Bye Bye.

The violent Democrats (commies) are stealing our heritage and distorting our history. It's time to disarm them, to round them up, and to hang them by their necks until they are dead. Let us keep a list lest they were to hide themselves among the greater population once the day of retribution begins.

We lost our ass in Vietnam and had to turn tail and run so should we remove all the memorials for those losers? Think about it and leave ALL the statues alone.

If you believe Democrats are removing statutes, destroying our history there is an election coming up in November. Let the Democrats and their friends know how you feel. Vote Republican even if you don't like them. You can always vote for the Democrats again after they learn how you feel.

The South lost the Civil War, and the Confederacy was no more.
Getting our ass whooped in Vietnam is quite the same thing.
So no, the Vietnam memorials do not need to be removed from anywhere.
How would explain to a black kid what Great Deeds Robert E. Lee did?

I guess we could tell those little black children how Robert E, Lee, using his expert military skills and powerful actions was distinguished as a national war hero after he fought and defeated many Mexican armies and made large contributions to United States land gains which lead to westward expansion and helped increase American dominance in the world. Or how as Commander of the West Point Academy, he was responsible for educating and training many of the very officers who defeated him in the Civil War.

The same way you should explain to Black kids that their hero MLK was a womanizer of nasty White street whores that his posse rounded up for him, that he plagiarized his speeches and his dissertation, and that his name as his father's was really MICHAEL not Martin. You think any of his memorials mention those facts? Do you think the kids are told those facts in their history books? Yeah right!

That would be fine.
Just leave out the part where he led an army into battle against the United States of America for the sole purpose of continuing to enslave all black people.
Southern pride at its GOP finest.

But he did also did lead an Army into battle against the United Sates of America but not for the solr purpose of continuing to enslave all black people. He fought for State's rights. Not even Northerners wanted to give their lives to the freedom of the black race. Have you ever heard of the "Draft Riots" in New York? You damn libiots just want to change history to your own narrative, It's not going to work. Don't they still teach about Benedict Arnold' great campaign against the British and Fort Tirondiroga?

OR, you couldsay, after Robert E, Lee had a career of distinction, he was a pivotal leader in a rebellion against the United States of America, a rebellion whose main purpose was to protect an economic system that depended on the enslavement of blacks.
OR you could just take the stupid fuckin statue down (and they did) because Robert E. Lee was a traitor to America and a disgrace to himself and his southern heritage.

It's no longer that particular sort of country of yours, and that's why you "it wasn't about slavery" types are spitting mad.

Perhaps we could all reach a sensible compromise and put these remaining, public statues of Confederate personages in kkk robes and pointy hoods?

Ninety nine percent of the slaves were sold by other Africans.

There were no Africans in America buying or selling African slaves.

No, they were sold in Africa by slave holders. Africans that had them kidnapped, and sold to people all over the world. They were sold to American merchants for shiny baubles.

That thought-fart would amount to your justification for sex trafficking today, then - okay if you're just the buyer / owner, not the trafficker / seller.

It's not just that your expressed, halfwit, racist ideas are sick - they are - it's that you can't string together a repulsive argument that makes any sense on its own twisted terms.

Whatever trafficking was going on the US had been winding down for decades prior to the Civil War. Slavery already was not legal in the western Territories. Britain had long ago outlawed slavery. The historical writing was on the wall. The Confederacy then enshrined the "right" to own other human beings as an organizing principle right in its founding documents, as did the Confederate states in theirs.

Yes it was human trafficking, but it took place. African leaders sold their own people. Where do you think slaves came from? It was horrible, and black men, white men fought to free them in the Civil War.

Slavery was well documented in the North, and the South. Why do you think we fought the war of Northern Aggression?
