Eighteen state attorneys general, led by California Democrat Xavier Becerra, argued the monthly payments are required under former President Barack Obama's health care law and cutting them off will harm consumers.

NO, what hurts consumers is price gouging for the amount of care given. Really, we've all heard the warnings, that Hospitals are notorious for over billing, double or even triple billing. It all goes to the "insurance company" and they 'apply' their own 'billable costs analysis' to the procedure. The Government through ACA thinks they can 'regulate' health care costs by subsidizing them? What Congress needs is a group of functional laws in place that hold these large Hospital, health care, pharmaceutical companies accountable to the public they charge. A purp walk for the board of directors, the CFO's would go a long way in changing the way health care is billed.
