There are 9 comments on the NWAonline story from Apr 7, 2018, titled Puerto Rico aid to cost $50B, FEMA says. In it, NWAonline reports that:

The administrator of the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency said Friday that it will take up to an estimated $50 billion to help rebuild Puerto Rico from Hurricane Maria and warned that the U.S. territory is not ready for another disaster. Brock Long said his agency aims to make the island's roads, homes, bridges and electrical grid as strong as possible but noted that the next hurricane season starts June 1. "We're running out of time," he said during a visit to Puerto Rico, adding that much of the island's infrastructure collapsed.

It's about time that we stop building throw away consumer infrastructure. Don't rush this. Build things to endure. To solve the housing shortages, focus on large, sturdy, urban apartment complexes and public transportation.

We can't be doing this every 20 years.

Whatever it costs to restore our territory, that is what it costs. God bless and keep those affected by these storms.

Hello, I applied for hotel expenses refund following IRMA. After appealing they made me eligible. It was at the beginning of February. But the amount is still not displayed since that date. No call, no update and still waiting. I called the assistance center, they seem lost and know less than me about it. What can I do or who can I contact (except the assistance center) to get my case done please ?
Thanks
