I would like an answer from someone with knowledge in basketball rules and tactics. With 10 seconds left in regulation, Raptors called a timeout, after Heat's tied the score after successful fowl shot. I was expecting the inbound to be at half court. Instead, Lowry took the inbound pass from his end line and wasted 7 precious seconds before determining that there was no play but to shoot a long air ball. Why was the inbound not at half court after time out? It would have provided more options close to the basket and with flurry of players, the in-bound pass could have been made to DeRozen or Lowry who could have driven to the net to draw a foul. Instead, we had a feeble attempt, with no rebounder nearby. I was surprised that TV commentators made no explanation of this strategy or question Raptor's coaching staff of the wasted opportunity. I noted that in the overtime, Heat called 2 time outs after Raptor's score and was able to inbound at half court both times. I have a basketball knowledge at grade 10 level, when I last played for high school team. Surely, someone with more experience or expertise would have a good answer to this baffling situation.

If the player made a move to go to the other end, and the timeout occurred after that move, then the ball goes back into play where the player had advanced to. The ball is taken out where the timeout was called in that possession.

Hey Sammy. Couldn't find the other page we were using. I didn't know they could be taken out because they have saved so many going back in time. Maybe we can shake those trolls for a while. lol

I guess everybody has heard about Bogut by now. It was like getting a kick in your heart. I hope Grif has a back up plan. Even if he comes back in 3 months, he won't be accustomed to the team and the plays. Such disappointment. There's a list of players floating around to check out. I think Larry Sanders gets mentioned a lot in the forums around here. I think he's the guy that was a real head-case. Maybe I have him confused with another player.

I really do believe that those guys in the white jackets are coming for Prez Hannibal Lector.

Hahaha Prez is at it again huh?. Yea it did get pulled. I think I know why too. Yea too bad about Bogut what a shame, although he is an injury prone guy. Was he signed just for remainder of season?

I didn't hear anymore about Saunders. Is he still on the table for a deal?

Even some of the republicans are ready to kick him out of the White House. He changed Obamacare and took the money from the sick and poor and gave it to the middle and upper classes.

It has taken a long time for Topix to do something about the guy/guys filling up the forums with childishness. Makes ya think that a computer is running the show.

Bogut had signed a free agent contract for the rest of the season. I don't know the legalities regarding this scenario, but it must have happened before.

Not many NBA games on tonight. March Madness just around the corner.

Another month we'll be sitting in the sun at a CLE Indians game. Ya just never know what kind of weather is coming at that time of year. The Indians let Mike Napoli go after we picked up Encarnacion. Right now they are out in Goodyear Arizona playing in the Cactus League. Any major changes for the Jays? That would be great if both our teams had a season like last year.

No major changes other than losing Encarnacion and resigning Bautista. Jays looking ok in preseason. You are right Baseball just around the corner. I find this year going quickly.

J R cleared for practice. Don't know if he will get to play tomorrow or not. Kyle Korver rolled his foot in the Miami game, so he's going with the team but not playing. AND ..... Coach Lue has had the flu for a week. STAY HOME! lol

If the Playoffs started tomorrow, this is how it would look:

Coach Lue sounds like me. Been off work the past two days with stomach flu.
JR back almost already? Wow. These guys heal quick. I saw a Durant at half time of Celtics GSW game. That's some apparatus he has on his leg. Looks like it could be a while for him.

We won tonight against NO. Boy that Cousins has real attitude problem good luck signing him to a big contract. He has issues.
He barked at every time he thought he was fouled. Ibaka was blocking him like crazy and he didn't like one bit of it.

Something tells me we will play Atlanta. Although we are fighting hard to get back our Atlantic division meaning 2nd.

W'sup? I know how you feel. Playing without 2 of our starters this long stinks. At least we got Swish back, but he's got to get back into his groove. K Love traveling with the team is a good sign, but I don't think he's going to play for a while. Good thing we got Bron to talk us off the ledge. LOL

Well Cavs and GSW are adding some incentive and hope to the other teams of late. Although this happens winding down in the stretch. I can see out guy already wiped and there's a bit more to go. Oh well that's life in the NBA.

Yeah, silence is golden.

What's funny about our losses is the Cavs are still on top with 2 games up in the win column, and 3 games down in the loss column. That's a real head scratcher. Possibly the top 8 have been scheduled against the bottom 8?

The MAC Tournament is today at the Q. Akron vs Kent State for a bid to the NCAA Tournament. It's been a while but Kent State made it to the Ellite 8 one year. lol

I got a feeling that Larry Sanders is headed our way. I've always given our newbes a chance but I just don't know about this guy. I will wait and see. He's got Grif in his corner, and I have to respect that.

Sammy, who gets your MVP vote this year? I got it down to 2 from 4. Westbrook is all about the trip/dubs, and grabbing rebounds from his own bigs. KD is sidelined, so his stats aren't going to be overwhelming. I got it down to Harden and Bron.

The league is going to experiment with a 4 person referee crew in the D League games. The officials are going to rotate during games in order to increase court coverage. Hmmm.
