Chinese-only signs erected across from Richmond City Hall

There are 2 comments on the Richmond News story from Feb 19, 2018, titled Chinese-only signs erected across from Richmond City Hall. In it, Richmond News reports that:

This pottery and home accessory business erected Chinese-only signs across from Richmond City Hall, despite apparent policies that encourage English on 50 per cent of signage. The Chinese-only signage of a new business, in the sightlines of Richmond City Hall, is renewing doubt on the effectiveness of the municipality's English sign policy and "de-cluttering" bylaw.

Government has no business regulating speech, and that includes choice of language. If bigots don't want to shop at this business, let them stay away.
