I look at Reader and the drug sweep he is doing. Do you think had the Rhodens and HG not been murdered, they would be caught in a drug sweep?

Donna thing is , would there even be a drug sweep without the murders. You know what i mean ?
Donna and Grouchy, your questions about the drug sweeps are good ones. Prior to the murders did Reader voice wanting to clean up drugs in the area? I doubt without the murders there would have been as many tips about drugs. I know he also hasa Cold case squad looking into unsolved murders. I think this is also due directly as a result of these murders. I would really like to see headway made on the unsolved.

I believe he stated in the press conference around the year mark that he's gotten information on a lot of criminal activity but doesn't think the criminal activities contributed to the murders. Am I remembering this wrong? Anyone remember?

Someone claiming to be a first-time poster who is close to the Wagners has posted a lengthy character testimonial about them in Mr-Smiley's hidey hole. It is a different portrayal of them than we are used to reading on the main thread.

One person who has bothered me is the Rev. Fulton. The first day you could not keep him quiet.
I have read on the main thread, that he is very with the Manley's.
I can not put my.finger on it, but something does sit right.
I have also wondered if the Church was the meeting place the night/morning of the murders.

I just read the two posts. It is very unusual they found Smiley's thread.
I personally do not feel the Wagners are involved. I think Reader is smart enough, that he would have had Sophia removed.
They are a little strange without a doubt...but I do not think they are guilty of murdering eight people.
I do not think BJ nor LM are involved.....not sure about the rest of the family. That goes for the Rhoden side also.

There is some talk about the land far gave Clarence in the divorce. It always bugged me a little wondering why she did that. Maybe it was the cost of the divorce to her. Col said the land came from Roy farmer.
It might be irrelevant but it is interesting.

Well ROR had a lot religious connotations. Just like Billy Sunday has stuck out in my mind. He stands alone, holds the book, etc...

Dude, you know I saw that mess. Can you guess what the first question in my head was?

How does a first time poster find and go straight to posting kn a private thread? I can't even remember how to find Scioto's thread most of the time.

Second question: If you want to try to change people's minds about something, why post it in the place where you know people already agree with you? Whose mind can you change there?

Smiley really believes we are as stupid as he is. Smiley is wrong. I don't know, maybe some are but I'm not. I can smell him through this Kindle screen.
I hope you take this in the jovial way I mean it, BUT, sometimes you (and many others) irritate the he!! out of me by comments such as "How does a first time poster...".

If you read the comments, you HAD to see that the poster said first time posting not first time reading.

Don't you track what ever thread you are interested in? Just add to tracker then you have no problem finding it, or at the very least, bookmark it.

Ok, now for the serious observations. When I read the new poster commenting that it was common for several generations to live together, I couldn't help but remember that the Wagner house in Pike County was recorded as purchased by Jake and his brother for 175 grand, no mortgage. It was not owned by the parents. Of course, the parents had a bankruptcy in their recent past.

I wonder how those young me came up with so much cash for housing in their young lives and careers.

I don't think it is all that common for several generations to live together in this day and age. Anyone else?

(Please don't turn this into a Smiley bashing thread. We are all so sick of him and also of all the comments ABOUT him. If you don't want me to comment here, just let me know. Thanks.)

I have no more reason to think that is Mr-Smiley than I do to think that you are Ganogano1.

Mr-Smiley's forum is not hidden; it is listed right at the top of the index page, just like this one is. If Rush2112 has been reading the forum for a few months like he says, then he would have seen it. I can understand why he would want to have his say without locking horns with the likes of Hillbilly Deluxe.

I see his comment as just another bit of information by an anonymous internet person to take into consideration when pondering the mystery.

The poster could very well be right about the Wagners. I do not believe they are involved in it.

I don't mind the critique. I said I smelled Smiles and I explained why. It doesn't bother me for others to disagree, that's part of participating on a forum. Being attacked for disagreeing is a different story.

I think what people should understand right off the bat is...I did not make this forum for me. I made it for everyone who chooses to have respectful discussions without the trolls. It took some effort on my part to get it going and will take work to moderate it. I can bash Smiley anywhere, I did not need a private forum (and all the work that goes with it) to do that. I don't think Kabong had ulterior motives for posting the link, although I'm sure he knew it would get a rise out of me - I think he did it to share a perspective, I don't think he did it to bait me but let's be honest, that part of me is not going to change overnight.

It's up to each individual poster to decide if they want to participate here and I hope many choose to but I can tell you straight up, I'm not going to lie to anyone and I'm not going make promises I know I won't keep. I don't plan on bashing Smiley but the name IS going to come up and I don't see my opinion of him changing overnight. That's as honest as I can be about it. Accepting constructive criticism is not a problem for me. Posters have to decide if that's a problem for them.

And I mean that in the most sincere and polite way possible.
I didn't think El Kabong was baiting you. I read the post she posted and commented on it after I read that thread.

No, you didn't. The point is I wasnt the one to bring Smiley up but It Is going to happen. I have no argument with anyone who does not think the way I do.
I did not bring up Mr-Smiley, except in the context of attributing my source. I generally do that. I would like to see everyone do that, as well as use names instead of initials.

then why these from dewine, "This was a very unusual action on our part. It's rare that we will go out and say we want information about certain people but we felt it was the point and time when we needed to do that," DeWine said...and the pics...going nationwide?

Hi sunshine..I think Dewine and Reader are more interested in business dealings. This is why they asked if anyone did business with them.
I just it hard to believe Reader and Dewine would let them stay in Alaska, if they thought they were murderers. They would have had the young kids removed..

But that was 29 days ago - a month tomorrow. Still no arrests, still no APB, still hasn't named them as suspects. There's something up with that.
Since June 19, in fact.

Agree Donna, that poster was quite believable to me. I've never thought the W's were the type of family to be involved, never. But I absolutely do believe some of the M's and Cl's could be. Apples and Oranges, as far as types of families. Seems all the negative comments towards W's started
with the M's and C's.

Sunshine, I really feel the Wag's are being set up. By doing that it takes the pressure off of others. I do not believe LE found anything significant relating to the murders, when they searched Peterson Rd.
