ALMOST all major cities have Democratic mayors. ALL major cities have problems. It has nothing to do with the political make-up of the city's government. It has more to do with inequality and systemic racism. You have to realize that individual cities don't make laws (state or national). The largest factor, in my opinion, is wages. Non-white workers make, on average, about 3/5 of white workers doing the same job. Does that number sound familiar? 3/5 of a person is what people of color were considered to be after the civil war.

This side of hell there is no worse city than Memphis or West Tennessee!!! I have traveled the world and this is the bottom. High crime, dangerous driving, and stupidity on a biblical scale.

Just to set the record straight, I didn't vote for Hillary or Obama. In 2008 I voted for the American HERO John McCain. Didn't vote in 2012 or 2016 because I didn't like either candidate. Voting is a right, but not a requirement.

OK. Say your facts are true. I seriously doubt they are but IL give you the benefit here. Are you saying blacks in the rural areas have it better? I don't believe anyone would agree that racist views are more predominant in metro areas than they are in rural areas. Now how is it all the big cities are crap holes but all the rural towns are not? Granted some rural towns are horrible but there are many rural cities that are very good places to live yet the wages are no higher and the mistreatment off minorities is no less. Yet we can walk down the road without getting shot.

Qualify this mistreatment of minorities you keep referring to. Anyone who wants to work and is able to can. And if they excel at their jobs the sky is the limit. So, why are the deadbeat whites not doing well? How would you explain that? It canít be racism right? It comes completely down to each persons character and work ethic. And a black that will put their nose to the grind stone actually has more opportunities in the work place. So the guys sitting around drinking 40ís all day I see as I drive through Memphis are doing it because of racism?

I see you pick and chose which topic to discuss. Free enterprise is the key. If you have a marketable skill AND show up and work you can do very well. There are many programs that pay people to go to school and develop a skill. What about the whites that choose to work at fast food places? Are they being held back? What excuse do you have for the guys hanging out drinking with help wanted signs everywhere? Is that somehow my (the white guys) fault?

Yes and No. I am a retired production supervisor of a manufacturing plant in West Tennessee. I will guess that I had an average of 50 peoples or so under my supervision during my tenure. You are not born to be a pre destiny failure or random event. Personal responsibilities and moral values will take you far in life.

Iíve witnessed all excuses. I loved all productive people. No matter what color.

Did you even read my post? I'm not talking about the unemployed (although there are reasons for those figures also). I am talking about the employed non-whites (excluding the people of Asian heritage). There is a reason that affirmative action was put in place, and it is called systemic racism. I'm sorry if you didn't get a job because of it, but you can blame the racists for making it a necessary evil. And just to be clear, I am a white male in my 40's gainfully employed as a licensed electrician.

The employed non whites excluding Asians. Well I wonder why they are excluded? Could it be they are known for work ethic? So youíre a white guy. You must be racist too. See, a licensed electrician is a highly developed skill and very much in demand. Are you saying if you were ďnon whiteĒ with the same exact skills and work ethic that you would only make 60% of what you do now? Honestly some work places suck. And if they suck for the non whites they suck for the whites too. As an electrian what do you do when you job sucks? Get another. Then you develop your skills and learn new ones. I have a friend that is a master electrian, plumber and HVAC. Itís easy to sit back and say because Iím non white I canít do this or that. I too have a highly developed skill. I work with non whites that make as much or more than me. Iím this day and age the excuses are gone for one not to have a skill or education. This old white man holding me back business is BS.

You can say thereís ďsystemic racismĒ all you want but that does not make it true. Please give me some concrete examples. Donít give me blacks make 3/5 of whites average income therefore..........

Iíll give you one example of systemic racism. Itís called Affirmative Action. Another massive government program thatís been around since the 70ís and does not work as intended. The average % of income of blacks vs whites is the same then as it is now.

Will invite you to the party when the Orange Comb-over gets impeached. That ship is sinking fast.
