Time Warner is the worst company I have ever dealt with. If there were an alternative to get Internet in my area I would drop Time Warner like a bad habit. I hope they go out of business and are bought by a company who understands customer service.

What a stupid series of events. I wonder if this will be a recurring theme every year as it has been for the last two.

Maybe instead of scrolling messages next year, we can have newscasters reporting on it like it's important.... errr. well, I guess that already happened.

Funny, Time Warner began as QUBE back in the 70's years later it was purchased by Time publication becoming Time-Warner.
Sinclair would state in there effort to keep the local news, that those on Time Warner would lose all shows, so if you are fans of Dancing with the Stars, or the View, those shows would be affected. Not true, those shows would remain.
So who do you trust, a station whose roots were started in Cols, or a station who was not honest with losing the format?

So what you've got, ostensibly, is two very wealthy entities fighting over and holding hostage the public, the property of which should be in our control to begin with. Why did we change from a society where the public owned the airwaves and controlled content to letting cable/internet/wireless companies dictate to us what we can or cannot have. They are running their cables through public property. We should have some control and/or regulation over how they conduct themselves. And over how much they charge us.

Who does Sinclair think that money will come from? It comes from us, the subscribes. So, Sinclair wants us to pay for what they give away to everybody else for free. Why should I agree to that?

The coming price increase will definitely be more than 10 cents per station per customer

If I were you Warner customers, I would quit them. They will now raise your prices. Go to Direct TV or ATT.uverse. They are cheaper and greater, more programs. Wonder who they will go after next?
I'm thinking of doing exactly that. The entire mess left a bad taste in my mouth. Hope TW lost a lot of customers already, but now the customers will have to pay. It's all a crock.

I'm not really sure why TW or any other carrier has to pay Sinclair to broadcast their stations rather than the other way around. Personally I receive all my channels off the air at no cost that indicates that most if not all revenue is generated through advertisement. If TW were to stop carrying channel 6 and 28 I would think more damage would be done to those to channels from loss of viewership.

"The big media companies have launched major propaganda campaigns against Sinclair because Sinclair is about to join them as a big media company by buying Tribune. Things are never quite what they seem!" ---Sharyl Attkisson, 11 March 2018
