Canada banned dual agency - could the United States be next?
Representing both sides of a transaction can seem efficient, but that arrangement is often suspect. And in part of Canada, it's officially banned.

Will the US follow? Not a chance...there are too many greedy agents who think that getting double commission is the gold standard.
The US states that have banned "dual agency" have replaced it with "transaction broker"...same thing with a new name and no fiduciary obligations. Or worse...designated agency.
