Alaska Airlines announces eight non-stop routes from Paine Field

The carrier revealed eight new routes it will add from the airport in Everett, Wash., which does not currently have commercial airline service. Alaska Airlines announced last May that it would begin flying from the airport , a move that would essentially turn Paine Field into a secondary airport for metro Seattle.

SFO is protected territory here! If there is a flight interruption made (the manifest for) United or Alaska can be sent to the other so high yield customers and others on this route are protected.

Should have quite a few of the Northern Puget Sound Communityís movers and shakers represented out of PAE. Interesting move by United and Alaska.

WN routes out of Paine Field predictions are:




Apparently WN will have to share gates with United as they will be MAXED out on the Alaska gate. Unitedís timing of their connections to their Hub flights to DEN and SFO will preclude anything but extreme leisure destinations with ill timed flights for business travel with Chicago being the exception.

I think WN could surprise expectations in terms of route surprises, as Paine is really limitless in connection demand opportunity.
