TiVo opens new patent fight against Comcast's X1
TiVo is pursuing new patent litigation in its fight against Comcast , bouncing off its success at the International Trade Commission. The litigation involves Rovi, which combined with TiVo in early 2016, and alleges that Comcast's X1 platform infringes on Rovi IP with its features for pausing and resuming shows on different devices, restarting live programming in progress, advanced DVR recording features, and advanced search and voice functionality.
